Trav’s Trail Run is an annual race in honor of Travis Eliot Landreth which is held at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, MA.

The 3-mile race snakes its way through the cross country course that bears his name, The Travis Landreth Cross Country course, and passes by the plaque honoring his memory.

The race begins at 10:30 a.m. and typically attracts a couple hundred competitors at numerous levels of competition.

A free kid’s race will be held prior to Trav’s Trail Run at 10:00 a.m.

Prizes include; cash to the top three male and female finishers, unique Trav’s Trail Run mugs to all age division winners, merchandise awards and best of all – a HUGE post race raffle for all.

T-shirts are available to the first 250 entrants. Sweatshirts or half zips are available for purchase.

All proceeds go to the Travis Eliot Landreth Memorial Scholarship Fund to benefit Newburyport High track and cross county athletes chasing their dreams of becoming a better runner, along with various running camps and post-collegiate training groups associated with Landreth.

Those interested in participating can register online here for $25, or runners can register at the race for $30 ($20 for students). Those who register in advance can pick up their numbers on Saturday at the Jack Rabbit Running Store in Newburyport from noon to 3 p.m.
